Carlos Kerr Jr. is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary artist.

Carlos is an accomplished Belizean-American artist hailing from Brooklyn, New York, and currently based in Basel, Switzerland.
Carlos's movement language has earned him widespread recognition through his magnetic and cleverly crafted works. His piece 'Remotely Equal' was selected as a Finalist in the Concours Choreographique of Mandalain Ballet Biarritz. Carlos’s work 'Never Odd or Even' was featured as part of an evening of work alongside Patrick Delcroix for the Tanz Luzerner Theater. Carlos was also selected as an Emerging Choreographer for Springboard Danse Montreal in Canada. Carlos work has been invited to numeorus venues including Tanzwerk 101 in Zurich, Dance Gallery Festival, Das Tanz Fest Schweiz, Theater Casino Zug, Theater Chur, and Dance Basel.
Carlos's artistic journey began with training at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music Art & Performing Arts. He then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Ailey Fordham BFA in Lincoln Center, where he graduated with honors. Carlos also holds a Master's Certificate in Advanced Sciences in Dance Science with a specialization in Health & Performance from the University of Bern.
Carlos’s performance career has spanned several dance companies and stages internationally, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Rubberband Dance Group, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Theater Ulm, Tanz Luzerner Theater, and Snorkel Rabbit. He has performed in repertoire and original creations of esteemed choreographers such as William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Inbal Pinto, Bryan Arias, Alba Castillo, Georg Reischl, Ella Rotschild, Fernando Melo, and Marcos Morau.
Alongside his choreographic endeavors, Carlos is an international dance educator & coach, sound designer, photographer, filmmaker & a certified GYROKINESIS® trainer.
As of August 2023, Carlos is a soloist with Ballett Basel, directed by Adolphe Binder and Tilman O’Donnell.
